Jason is a junior at The University of Alabama at Birmingham pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy while working as a Neonatal Technician at Brookwood Hospital. He will graduate in August of 2014 with plans to work at one of Birmingham's many hospitals and possibly pursue a Master's degree. In his free time, Jason plays as much tennis as possible, scuba dives when the opportunity presents itself, and is an active member of the Scleroderma Foundation.
Jason's winning article, "Interstitial Lung Disease in Systemic Sclerosis," discusses the diagnosis, progression and treatment options for this deadly disease affecting patiensts with a rare form of scleroderma. Read it here.
