A team of independent judges, each one a member of the sleep community and well-versed in the demands of this highly specialized field, will select winners from all eligible entries. Winners will be announced prior to the June SLEEP meeting.

We will award prizes in the following categories:

·          Best Sleep Department - $500 Cash Award

Winners also will receive a keepsake plaque to commemorate their achievements. Plus, ADVANCE for Respiratory Care & Sleep Medicine will recognize the winners in a special section of the magazine and on the website. I was a Registered Respiratory Therapist(RRT) for over 15 years.
At 2007, I was diagnosed with OSA and started to use CPAP. From that date, I became a patient and a tech. for sleep medicine. I really love this job.
After few years to study in sleep field, now I hold few credentials and licenses:
1. Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) by Respiratory Board (NBRC).
2. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist by BRPT.
3. Registered Sleep Technologist by AASM.
4. Registered of California state of Polysomnographic Technologist.

I am a mom of four and had to work, so becoming a RPSGT while on the job was a relief. I learned different things from different techs in my field. It was very helpful when it came for me taking my test. I cried so much when I hit that button and it said "You Passed". I had worked so hard to learn all I could and many prayers were answered that day.

I've been working in the sleep field as a night technician for over three years now. I love my job! It's such a rewarding experience to be helping people achieve a better life through sleep.
