An Oxygen Pneumatic Conserving Regulator that incorporates new multi-pulse conserving technology, the NEUMATIX GOLDTM, was released today by Cramer Decker Medical, Inc., a Santa Ana, CA based company.
"This new technology provides oxygen patients with reliable levels of O2 saturation while maximizing their portable oxygen supply. And it is extremely easy to use," says Scott Decker, President of Cramer Decker Medical, Inc., "We strongly believe that this new multi-pulse approach will become the new standard in oxygen conservation."
Most pneumatic conservers available today use a single pulse of oxygen per breath. As the patient inspires, the device sends a single pulse of oxygen to the patient.
According to Decker, "that single blast of oxygen is often loud and discomforting to the patient, and may not effectively provide the patient enough oxygen if they inspire deeper or for a longer period of time. The multi-pulse technology in the NEUMATIX GOLDT was designed to correct these issues."
This NEUMATIX GOLDT delivers multiple, measured pulses of oxygen throughout a patient's breathing cycle. If the patient inspires longer or deeper, the NEUMATIX GOLDT produces multiple pulses and provides the patient with more oxygen.
Decker explains, "the device gives the patient the oxygen they need, rather than forcing a standardized single blast of O2."
The new technology claims to provide better patient saturation, better oxygen conservation, and promotes a more comfortable threshold for patients.
The NEUMATIX GOLDT is available to patients by prescription only.
