Responsive Respiratory Inc., St. Louis, Mo., expanded its product line with the View O2™ high definition fingertip pulse oximeter. A cost-effective and easy-to-use device, the View O2 features an exclusive high-definition color viewing screen with 10 brightness settings that provide a crisp, high-contrast display.

The multi-directional readout screen provides large, easy-to-read numeric pulse rate values, SpO2 readings, and a SpO2 waveform for at-a-glance monitoring. The numerical SPO2, pulse rate and plethysmogram display is designed to rotate directionally, allowing the caregiver to easily view the results without additional movement by the patient.

"Responsive did a significant amount of end-user research prior to launching the View O2," said Tom Bannon, RRI President. "We reviewed the common complaints related to the use of pulse oximeters and engineered our model to remove those issues. RRI's model features a large full color, high-definition rotating screen to ensure accurate readings and to remove the 'arm twisting' when viewing the readout."

The View O2 features a point of purchase display box that makes the unit ideal for walk-in traffic at provider locations. "The trend in the health care market today, especially with the Medicare reimbursement cuts, is store-front displays to increase walk-in traffic for cash sales," Bannon said. "Providers looking for alternate sources of revenue - the View O2 Pulse Oximeter is the perfect add-on cash sale product."
