After three years of rebuilding and recovery in New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina is still damaging lives. Respiratory ailments have peaked since the storm flooded 80 percent of the city. We recently spoke with Tulane University investigator LuAnn White, PhD, DABT, who is studying how the environmental changes have affected asthma and asthma exacerbations in children living in greater New Orleans.
